A short story is storytelling in its purest sense. It’s concentrated expression. So writing a short story is tough, but it’s no tougher than any other writing discipline. This course covers some of these key areas:

• Getting to the point
• Scope when it comes to short stories
• Short stories have beginnings, middles and ends too
• Too much information
• Show and don’t tell
• The use of twist endings
• Rules of Thumb
